that grand ol canyon

soo our big family vacation this year was going to the grand canyon. oh and we stopped in powell on the way back. let me say, the car ride there wasnt THAT bad, except my family wouldnt turn off the music in the car, and i couldnt concentrate on harry potter seven. if youve read this book, youll know how frustrating that must be

we also played the alphabet game..where you go in a circle and name things that start with the letters of the alphabet. subject: people... example:

nicole: adam.. from adam and eve.
michelle: brian booth
mom: cwazy moto.

cwazy moto? ya.... cwazy. like a small child trying to say crazy with a speech impediment.

another one... subject: animals

kristin: Horse
Nicole: Iguana
Dad: .....Jackass...(giggles mischeviously like a little boy)

the list goes on, i just cant name it all

some more memorable quotes from the car include..
"you cant bite through an umbelical cord unless youre a conehead"
"she cant even get her letters front words!"
"vulupta raptor!"
"shakespeare probably had spyhillis"
"the bug is falling! the funny bug!!!!
"stay away from the edge slim! youre gonna get blown right off the mountain!"
"isnt that an ana-snazzy?"
"that would be so cute if there were a thousand bunnies jumping in that field"

we got to the canyon, and saw it. alot of it. my mom was being a dare devil and walking by the cliffs. we all scorned her.

we didnt have a tv in our cabin, so we played catch phrase and rode horses for entertainment. that, was hilarious.

then we made it to powell. and the highlight of the last day is etched into my mind forever.
my mother was getting into the boat from the shore, and was about knee deep in water. she shimmied her way onto the nose of the boat, and she was totally horizontal. then, she began to slide. it was in slow motion from there. her legs went first into the water. then she curved into the letter c, and tried to hold on for dear life as her legs went under the boat. it was hopeless and absolutely hilarious. i then saw my mom plunge into the water, glasses and baseball cap and all. she was down for approx. 2 seconds, and i was afraid she was dead. she got up and gasped, and i didnt know whether to laugh or not... or if shed be mad. she got up and i havnt seen her laugh harder in her whole entire life. she got up, her freshly permed hair dripping wet and laughed for the next 20 minutes. if you know my mother, this is 20x funnier.

the ride home took twice as long as it should have, but thats normal for us booths.

oh AND, another great part of the trip was watching my mom and dad play 'name that 60's tune' and have my parents be both so competitive, my mom kept score on a sheet of paper.

quote of the day..

"i figured out a way to lose weight. people should just put a clothes pin on their nose, so they dont smell food. then they wont be hungry.... (she plugs her nose and says very nasaly...) GIVE ME A CLOTHES PIN!"- once again, i'll leave it anonymous.

ps. im really behind in blogging. i have the grand canyon to blog about, and my new york trip. that will take a while. be prepared.

jazzy!

i just remembered this.

when i was frantically shopping for cameras last week, an old man in a jazzy came up behind my while i was examining some sony cameras. i turned around, and he was dressed in tan pants from the 60s way too tight for him, (kinda like my great uncle kents) and a blue trucker hat. he stopped his jazzy and said,
"thats a nice camera.."
i smiled...
"not for me though, i like my fuji!!!"
and he looked straight ahead,i swear he crouched his head down like he was racing, and zoomed away. i dont know why this was so funny to me, but it was. it reminded me of that commercial of that old woman in the grand canyon spinning in her jazzy, saying with an echo,
"JAZZY! JAZZY! jazzy! jazzy!!!"

graduation.

so finally, after 12 years im done with public schooling. i've had senioritis since the seventh grade, and have been itching to graduate for years.

wooooot. i have to say, i wont miss davis high, except for a few things.

1. Advanced theater. this class changed my life.

2. School friends. the ones you know you'll never see again, but have a ton of inside jokes with and you know you couldnt survive that history class without them

3. Getting ready for dances and feeling pretty for a night.

The things i wont miss, are immature boys and ratty girls. On senior night, when the all night party was over, a few of the boys whom i loathe entirely, began to chant. you know those chants that go like... "lancers suck (clap)(clap)(clap)(clap)(clap)" or "Warm up the bus! (clap)(clap)(clap)(clap)(clap)" (yeah.. those chants were at our basketball games...) well, as we were leaving, a few of the chants went like this. "gotta delay my mission...(clap)(clap)(clap)(clap)(clap)" or "I need to talk to my bishop...(clap)(clap)(clap)(clap)(clap)" ...

i know right. whats sad, is i used to know these kids and was friends with them up until highschool arrived. im just sad that that is what highschool did to them... what i wont miss..

1. People making fun of the different kids at the school
2. The clicks with their names that they make people refer to them to.
3. Chants.
4. Dirty things you hear in the hallway
5. The 1400 hall jam where all the jocks sit on the steps so you cant get to your class
6. The fakeness of girls when they say "omgosh i havnt seen you forever! girl we need to hang out. call me forreal!" then they turn around and say mean things about you to their friends, about 3 feet away.
7. Hearing about the abortions that go on
8. Pulling all nighters because you procrastinate and feeling like shiz in the morning
9. Dirty looks from girls who hate you
10. Whispers and rumors
11. Parties where you walk in the room and you know that 'your click' wasnt invited
12. People bringing other people down to make themselves look cool.
13. Certain boys throwing snowballs at your car and trying to trip all the girls in the hall.

i dont hate highschool... okay well maybe a little. but im so glad its over, it just wasnt for me. i met some amazing people and made lifelong friendships, and thats the one thing that matters. i had teachers change my life... Andra Thonrne and Corbin Talley. All i know is that im done with highschool and ready to start my life, no matter how scary the future seems.

...

i wasnt even alive.

i was 8 years old. i know right. i was in Mrs. Perez's third grade class and definately was the teachers pet. i'd write poems and give them to mrs prerez, but i entitled them, "to the class", so really i just wanted her to read them out loud so all my other friends would be jealous of my poetry writing skills. and i was super fat.

i was thirteen. in the seventh grade i believe? yes i think so. i had just met my two best friends in jr high, brooke and christy, and was coming out of my shell. i was hott stuff in jr high, and had a boyfriend, whom now is referred to He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named.

i was seventeen, finishing up jr year. i had absolutely no love interests, and those were the days where all of my friends got along. now its a battle ground. and some of us arent on speaking terms anymore. sad. also that summer i had the best job of my life, a nurse's assistant at the hospital. i love people with alzhimers.

So far this Year
I've been in advanced theater, and got closer to my two new sisters, alexa and natalee falk. advanced theater has changed my life, and i've met so many people because of it. i've dated a few people here and there, but i must say this is the last time i'll ever date anyone younger than me. ever. i figured out where im going to college and starting off on a new road.

Yesterday
i was up late writing. oh and also, finishing the rest of harry potter six, my new obsession. i need to start book seven. yesterday i was really emotional and ate all the chocolate i could find in my house... i ran some pictures to this mans house for a macbeth poster we are getting a teacher, and then i sobbed about how theater is about to end.

This Year
i will start USU in august. also, i'll attend two of my very best friends weddings.

my last play

Today i did my last play with my advanced theater class. i started bawling right before i went on. so i looked like a pregnant smoker who was emotionally unstable. it was really hard. basically i'll blog about it later. thats all.
